Klara Bühl propelled FC Bayern Women to victory in a Bundesliga top match against Eintracht Frankfurt.

The national player netted the winning goal in the 18th minute of their 1-0 (1:0) win against the second-place team on Saturday. The Munich club extended their league lead and perfect record to six wins, but concerns arose for German captain Giulia Gwinn.

"We're happy with every win. It feels good and gives us confidence," Bühl stated in an ARD interview. "We can be incredibly proud of winning games like this consecutively."

Bayern, unbeaten in 48 league games, now holds a five-point advantage over Eintracht Frankfurt (SGE). VfL Wolfsburg has the opportunity to close the gap to three points if they defeat Hamburger SV on Sunday.

In a sold-out stadium, the double winners from Munich struck decisively. Bühl finished a swift counter-attack following a corner kick from the opponent. This marked Bayern's first real chance, as their defense had shown occasional instability in the first half. Frankfurt's offense, led by captain Laura Freigang, proved too toothless.

Giulia Gwinn's Substitution

FC Bayern had recently faced challenges in the Champions League against Manchester City (2-2) and Benfica Lisbon (3-0), as well as in the DFB-Pokal against Borussia Mönchengladbach (2-1). However, this time, the Munich team controlled most of the match. The champions appeared closer to scoring a second goal than Frankfurt was to equalizing, though precision was lacking in the final third.

Giulia Gwinn caused a scare in the closing stages. The defender, who has a history of injuries, twisted her ankle during a sprint and left the field limping after receiving treatment. Her left ankle was heavily bandaged on the bench. Gwinn remains a key player for the upcoming national team fixtures.
