Ravanelli: "Inter is clearly superior, but watch out for Roma and Juventus"
Fabrizio Ravanelli, a prominent figure in Serie A from the late 1990s to the early 2000s, spoke at an event organized by Operazione Nostalgia in Ancona. Speaking with Sportitalia, the former striker addressed the league's pecking order, identifying Inter as the team to beat.
"The favorite for Serie A? Inter, first and foremost, then Roma, because they have a coach who makes the team play exceptionally well. He's integrated into the mentality and the minds of all the players. However, I believe Inter is distinctly superior to all others."
Ravanelli does not anticipate a one-sided season. Roma is among the teams capable of contending for the top spot, thanks to their coach's efforts. The ex-forward also emphasized the impact of Gian Piero Gasperini, whose coaching makes the title race even more competitive. "Gasperini is an extraordinary coach; I believe there will be a fight until the end."
Juventus also features in Ravanelli's assessment. According to the former player, they could fully re-enter the race if they manage to minimize losses while their injured players are out. "But I also believe that if Juventus can lose very few points between now and when they get their injured players back, they will be able to make their case until the very end."
